Bourgault Industries Ltd. acquires Highline Manufacturing Inc.
Press Release: May 23, 2006 — St. Brieux, Saskatchewan, Canada
Bourgault Industries Ltd. of St. Brieux, Saskatchewan is pleased to announce that it has reached an agreement with Highline Manufacturing Inc. of Vonda, Saskatchewan whereby Bourgault will acquire all of assets of Highline Manufacturing Inc. The name of the new entity will become Highline Manufacturing Ltd. and the new entity will continue to operate in Vonda with current staff members as a stand-alone, wholly owned subsidiary of Bourgault Industries Ltd. Highline Manufacturing Ltd. will begin operating as a new entity on June 5, 2006 with the same head office location in Vonda, Saskatchewan.
Highline Manufacturing Inc. founder, Raymond Bussiere, stated: “My main objective in looking for a buyer for Highline was trying to find a company that would commit to keeping the company in Vonda and growing it there over time. I was also looking for a company that could provide additional marketing strength and financial stability as I see these as key ingredients for the growth of the company. I believe that the new owners will provide this increased strength and stability along with a very high level of commitment to the company, the community and the entire Highline team.”
Besides the strong product line, Bourgault was attracted to acquire Highline because it shares its rural culture. Bourgault believes that Highline’s sales will continue to rebound steadily over the next few years as cattlemen begin to recover from the BSE disaster and the new models of its Bale Pro™ line are promoted in the market place. Bourgault says that it has developed a growth strategy for Highline that will include increased product development and using its overseas market coverage to provide new marketing opportunities to Highline products.
