Odor Control
Odor control around hog, dairy and municipal lagoons can be a problem.
That's why odor control with straw makes such good sense.
A 10" thick layer of processed straw sprayed on top of the lagoon will control odor for up to three months.
Highline’s Top Gun can blow straw onto lagoons for effective environmentally safe odor control. A lagoon 175' by 600' requires 80 to 100 round bales to effectively seal the odor pollution in. With a processing time of five minutes per bale, an entire lagoon can be covered in just one day.
When the straw settles to the bottom of the pit, it decomposes and adds to the richness of the slurry. Tests show that lagoon agitators with straw choppers easily pump out the slurry.
Land Reclamation
The Top Gun has also become a priceless tool to reclamation and erosion companies. Spread straw for any number of uses. Many road construction crews use it to eliminate hillside erosion.
